Materials characterisation

Electronics manufacturing & micro-assembly

Electronics manufacturing and micro-assembly require fast, accurate and highly repeatable motion, often within very limited installation space. From placing miniature components on PCBs to positioning probes and inspection equipment, even the smallest positioning error can affect product quality and process reliability. At the same time, high-volume production demands short cycle times and consistent performance over millions of movements.

An example are the miniature MSR linear slides, they combine low friction, high rigidity and precise, repeatable movement with long-term reliability. For short-stroke applications with high speeds and accelerations, cross roller linear guides with Anti-Cage Creep technology helps prevent cage migration, maintaining consistent and reliable motion throughout demanding production cycles.

Industrial metrology

For tactile and non-contact measurements PM supplies linear bearings and custom-designed single or multi-axis positioning systems with lengths up to 1400 mm. Theya re used by metrology specialists in the automotive and aerospace markets as well as industrial metrology applications requiring high accuracy and repeatability.
