Crossed Roller Slides
Crossed roller slides are available in many designs, ranging in size for the use in general machines as production automation to small desktop devices with limited space for the medical industry. Crossed roller slides are used for precise linear motion and are used to move products and samples with the highest degree of repeatability. These running accuracies are in the micrometer range.

Categories crossed roller slides
Crossed roller tables are divided into two categories::
1. Cross roller tables
Crossed roller slides, also known as frictionless tables, consist of equal-length table top and bottom. The slide unit includes cross roller guides. The guides are playfree preloaded by lateral set screws. This allows precise adjustment of these linear slides.
For higher rigidity, the preload can be increased and for very smooth running, the preload can be set to a very low value. If desired, the cross roller cage can be exchanged for a ball cage.
2. Miniature slides
Miniature linear slides are characterized by their very compact external dimensions. This allows them to meet customers’ requirements for miniaturization. By reducing the size of the slides and optimizing the linear guides, these slides can move relatively large masses with a long service life.
Miniature slides differ from crossed roller tables in their guide elements. In miniature slides, the linear guides are integrated into the table design. Preload is achieved by geometric matching of the balls (type PMM) or cylindrical rollers (type PMMR and type MSR). Another common feature of the miniature slides is that they are all made of stainless steel.
